Little Solar Farm at Mouse Lane (Sold out!)
We have broken ground on the Little Solar Farm at Mouse Lane! The 32 owners of this community solar farm in Alfred have effectively locked in low electric rates and will be receiving credits on their CMP bills for the next 25-35 years from solar power. Pictured here is our construction crew (Eric, Jason, Jon, Jim and Emily) ready to dig in on the first day!

Little Solar Farm #2 – seeking owners and a host
We are currently accepting applications for the waitlsit for solar farm #2. For a $100 fee that is fully refundable, you’ll save your spot in line to purchase shares of the next solar farm when they go on sale (estimated summer or fall of 2024).

We are also looking for a landowner interested in hosting Little Solar Farm #2. The ideal host site will:

• Be within 1 hour of Portland, preferably on a farm.
• Have at least 1/3 acre of mostly unshaded land that’s not well suited to cultivation. (We don’t want panels going up on valuable cropland!)
• Be in Central Maine Power’s service area. Unlike most solar farms, our scale is so small that we do not require access to 3-phase power. 

We will offer landowners generous compensation for hosting!
